This photo was taken at a dock in Barangay Tandubanak, Island of Sibutu, Municipality of Sitangkai, the province of Tawi-Tawi, Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao, Sulu, the Philippines.
In the sea culture of Tawi-Tawi, Philippines Sharks are their enemies at sea so the creatures are treated with no mercy. The name they appellate to the shark is Saitan and is derived from Satan, the devil.
The hunt for sharks in the Philippines islands is fortunately limited as Sharks are eaten as a delicay only among the local Bajao and Samal populace.

In fairness, we don't treat shark as enemy and so the other aquatic animals! Sharks is "KAITAN" in our local dialect and not "SAITAN" which mean evil. Correction please!!
